Broadway: The Scottsboro Boys (12 Tony nominations including Best Book, London’s Critics’ Circle Award as well as the Evening Standard Award for Best Musical. Thompson’s work was also recognized with the Hull-Warriner Award and the Outer Critics Circle and Lucille Lortel Awards for Best Musical.). Thompson created the new script adaptation for the revival of Chicago, the longest running American musical in history. Other Broadway projects include Steel Pier (Tony nom., Best Book).
